Dear Potential Customers of Vickie Slade My Aunt is a realtor in another state and helped me choose Vickie as my listing agent. My Aunt said if I chose the top selling agent with a large realtor firm that this realtor would do a good job selling our Longmont house.Vickie helped appraise and set an appropriate price on our home. We had tried to sell it by ourselves for a year prior to listing with Vickie but our pricing was too high and we got no offers. We didn't want to pay for a listing agent but after working with Vickie I can highly recommend her to anyone and vouch that she does her share of work to earn her wages. She offered to do so many things to help me since I was living out of state which I felt were above and beyond her duties as our agent. Before listing our home Vickie showed up at our home and notified me of what needed to be put in order. She even offered to mow the lawn herself! She rearranged the furniture and decorations just slightly and hid some clutter which made the house look great. Then she hired a professional photographer who took much better photos than what I had done on my own. All her detailed attention did the job because the first viewers of our home made an offer and we closed very quickly thereafter! Vickie knows how to market and get the right genre of viewers for the house for sale.After going under contract with some very stingy and inflexible buyers Vickie continued to very diplomatically smooth out all the rough edges. Vickie had a hard job with us because my husband and I were in the middle of a very ugly divorce. Vickie was brave and she did the difficult job of calling and mediating decisions between my spouse and me. Vickie arranged for reputable cleaners to come into our home and I didn't have to deal with facilitating that end of things at all. She arranged for professionals to meet all of the requirements which were negotiated as concessions in our contract. These things could have taken me hours to arrange but because Vickie was very knowledgeable and had many contacts she did it seamlessly while I just watched. Vickie toured our property before closing to ensure all was in proper order for the buyers' satisfaction and she informed me of what remained outstanding. She also spent several hours breaking down cardboard boxes left behind and cleaning out our refrigerators. Vickie is pleasant to talk to and to work with. She was patient and advisory while we had our house renovated for the sale. She hired a most excellent photographer and did a wonderful job of seeing all the features for what they were and bundling it all in a great sales package. Vickie was referred to me by my Arizona Realtor and friend. It was a perfect fit from the start. We were cleaning out a packed house after the death of our uncle - none of us lived nearby so it was going to take many months. I felt no pressure from Vickie but she was supportive and checked in occasionally. When we were getting close to our last couple of trips to the house she reached out to a couple of investors and in no time we had multiple offers. She guided me through the bidding war process and it resulted in an all cash offer "as is". I always felt like she had my back and my best interest in mind, even when the buyer tried to extend the inspection period and I told her to call their bluff and cancel the contract - so she did. We shared with her our preferences and the basis criteria we were looking for in a replacement home subsequent to our relocation. Over many years I've worked with several different realtors to purchase and sell properties. As in any profession whether it's a lawyer agent or sales-rep I've found that only about one-in-ten are worth a lick. I must say that Vickie is the best I've ever dealt with and I consider her to be that #1. She actually worked and earned her commission which is rare. Allow me to give several examples which will best explain.1. I once drove by a property she had listed for me and she was actually watering the law and pulling weeds in the flower beds. And I thought "What's with this Girl? Is this normal?"2. It was at that same time and property that I met her to go over needed repairs to encourage sales. Remarkably when I entered the place she had it staged with a dining room table place settings flowers pictures on the walls towels in bathrooms and an assortment of other objects placed in just the right location. I was shocked----it was a very pleased shock. And again I had another thought. "Damn this girl can't be for real!!!"3. Knowing that my wife was ill she then took it upon herself to mow the lawn on occasion and make sure the floors were swept.4. Then when an offer came in I experienced her negotiating skills and thoroughness before the property sold. Vickie was flawless and as professional as one could get.5. I then had her list a second property and it was more of the same. Well except with this house a tenant had left several truck loads of trash and Goodwill belongings that needed to be hauled away. And who helped for several hours? You guessed it Vickie. The woman is remarkable!!6. And yes the second property sold just as easily. I could continue with more but its best put this way: there's is no way I could possibly give Vickie a higher recommendation. When they made her they broke the mold and more agents should follow her lead---and try to emulate her refreshing approach which starts with a personable smile and kindness that even the buyers appreciated.

I've worked with a lot of real estate agents over several years while in the process of buying and selling investment properties most notably on the front range. Most agents have done reasonably well yet Vickie Slade has proven to be the exception. Meaning she's the best I've ever met. She's not only thorough and professional but willing to go above and beyond the call of duty. I'm absolutely amazed by her energy and availability. So much so that I must give an example. After meeting for the first time I decided to let her have a shot at my listing. We (she and I) were then in the midst of placing a property in Broomfield on the market and on a day while in passing on 36 I decided to stop by and check out the home. You know to see to see how it was showing but more importantly see if she had put up a sign and filled the bin with fliers. I mean that's usually the case right? Yet it was then that I knew I had found the right agent a "gem" if I may because she had the home (that I assumed would be showing empty) remarkably staged with pictures on the walls a dining set with full settings gracing the kitchen and the final touch of a few pieces of funiture strategically placed in the living room. The house looked so inviting that I was almost willing to buy it from "myself"! Now here's the topper: she had also run a mower across the lawn prior to my arrival. Then even more impressive she was "there" and out front with sleeves rolled up and in the process of weeding the flower bed. I was shocked to say the least and even asked myself "Is this normal? I've dealt with a lot of agents before but really have I just died and gone to heaven? Aren't these chores that I'm reponsible for? Holy cow how'd I get so lucky? She actually has no fear of getting her hands dirty!" Needless to say the property eventually sold and I was quite pleased with not only her but the price considering that it took place during a very strained economic time. She left no stone unturned and paid remarkable attention to all details from the first meeting to listing showing negotiating then never missed a beat during final closing. Nothing had been missed of questioned. All aspects ran remarkably smooth. Best said she "earned" every penny of her commission. I was so pleased that I refused to use anyone else when placing a second property on the market. And yes of course it sold. Obviously I'm a fan of hers and it's only right that I add a final and important note: I've found that personality is highly important in any business and especially in one that is service oriented. And in Vickie you'll find that and more. Ske's truly kind. She's one with impeccable social skills and concerns for not only your sale or purchase but welbeing. Vickie's an assent to the industry and I truly wish I met here years ago in a time when I was most active in real estate. Back then when most deals were done I rarely heard back from the agent. I was no longer of importance. Not the case with sweet Vic. I'll still hear from her on a regular basis and it's never about business---always just to say 'hi' and have a chance to catch up. We are now true friends. And will I ever use her again? Come on do you think I'm that foolish? In a heartbeat! Fact is I intend to list my own home within two years and I've already conviniently lost phone numbers and deleted e-mail addresses of all other agents. Thank you so much Vic.
